SWIMCART BEACH

Prime beachfront site!

On the south end of the Bay of Fires and about a 20-minute drive from St Helens (where you can stock up on supplies). We managed to snag a prime beachfront site at Swimcart Beach and what an epic spot it was.

We arrived in the morning around 9-9.30am as we were warned it gets really busy and to expect not to get in but we were determined to try our luck. We lined up behind 2 other caravans for around 45 mins to an hr before catching a camper trailer as it packed up and left. This thankfully was the perfect spot to fit our 25ft van without a problem. There is a mix of beachfront sites and sheltered sandy sites away from the beach and each site varies in size but there is definitely something for everyone from tent size up to bigger rigs.

There is no showers or water but there is drop toilets available near the entrance to the camp sites.
We could have stayed here for weeks but unfortunately we were running out of time very fast so 2 nights was all we could stay for. We will definitely be back again for longer one day.  Put this place on your list!
