ISLAND ADVENTURES

Philip Island

It had been at least a good 12 years since we last visited Philip island. I had actually forgotten how much there was to do down there. After a bit of research, we decided to get the 4 park passes which included seeing the famous Phillip Island penguins coming onto the beach of an evening as well as visiting the koala reserve, Churchill Island and the interactive Antarctica Journey at the Nobbies centre. We thoroughly enjoyed every single one of these activities and for our family of 6 it only cost us $158 with our RACV discount and would highly recommend if your heading to Philip Island.

We stayed 3 nights at @anchorbelle in Cowes which was an awesome spot to base ourselves on the island and even better was they are @travelaustraliawithkids supporters, so kids stay free for the first 2 nights. The staff were lovely and their indoor pool and jumping pillow we're a winner with the boys.We walked the beautiful boardwalk along the Nobbies. Explored beaches, rock pools, caves and strapped ourselves in for some adrenaline pumping Go Karting fun at the replica Philip Island grand prix circuit. We ate fish and chips, tried whip cracking and watched sheep shearing on beautiful Churchill island, enjoyed way too much chocolate at the chocolate factory and spotted lots of koalas hiding in the trees.
