On this six to seven hour adventure you have the opportunity to snorkel on the magnificent Ningaloo coral reef. You can expect to see hundreds of types of reef fish and exciting aquatic life such as reef sharks, turtles, giant clams and octopus.

The boat that they use for this tour allows you to get to the very best snorkelling sites that the spectacular Ningaloo Reef has to offer! For us this tour was all about swimming with the graceful Manta Rays.

The day starts with a stop and a beautiful section of the Ningaloo Reef where you get to have a snorkel around and view the amazing marine life. The highlight of this first stop was seeing the vast amount of reef sharks that were swimming directly below us. It was just incredible. Next, we went in search of the Manta Rays.

The spotter plane was out and it didn’t take long for their location to become known. Once in the water we followed the tour guide who lead us directly to the spot they were swimming in.

Wow, what a site to behold when you first spot these beautiful creatures. They really are so graceful and just glide along so effortlessly. Lucky for us they were in shallow water so we got to swim directly beside them and the kids had such a wonderful close encounter.

After spending the next hour swimming with the Manta Rays it was time to leave them alone and venture to our next snorkel spot. The next spot was another amazing section of the reef. This time we got to see a huge amount of fish and some turtles. It was also a strong current in the area so it turned into bit of a drift snorkel where the boat had to come and collect us as we were not able to get back to the boat. This was all part of the adventure and the boys loved it.
